Dr. Robert Gal is a gastroenterologist who has worked in both the outpatient and inpatient settings, providing high-quality and compassionate care to his patients. Dr. Gal has practiced gastroenterology and hepatology at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, NY, where he performed upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and capsule endoscopy. He also served as the Director of Endoscopic Services at ProHealthcare Associates in Lake Success, NY, where he supervised endoscopy and performed a variety of therapeutic procedures.
Dr. Gal completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Thomas Jefferson University Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, and his residency in internal medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He obtained his medical degree from Chicago Medical School and his Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Gal is board-certified in Internal Medicine with a specialty in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also certified in ACLS and is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Outside of his practice he serves as a Trustee of the Village of Lake Success. He also enjoys golf, camping, and cooking.
