Cashew Milk Ice Cream
I have never really done a review on a product before. Last night I had a craving for ice cream, and my sweet husband went to the local grocery store and scoured the shelves looking for a dairy and gluten free option for me. He was on the phone with me, listing off the label ingredients, when all of a sudden, a woman flagged him down (she literally chased after him) telling him that he had to try this ice cream! It’s dairy and gluten free, and the best she ever had. He took her word for it and brought it home. I’m sure glad he did!
The ice Cream was called So Delicious Dairy Free Cashew Milk Ice Cream, Dark Chocolate truffle flavored. Now, I used to be a Ben and Jerry’s lover, especially their chocolate fudge brownie. I could remember many summers at the docks in Montauk with my parents, devouring a cone of that and looking for more. Needless to say, my standards are high.
This non-dairy ice cream was delicious, although it was no Ben and Jerry’s chocolate fudge brownie, I did find the ice cream creamy and it had chunks of chocolate in it that pulled it all together. With each bite, it felt good that I could have some ice cream with my son (I might have eaten half a pint…with the help of my little guy).
I was in heaven. It has been a long time since I have been able to have anything remotely tasting like ice cream let alone something this decadent.
If you are a person that suffers from a dairy or gluten allergy try it out. You won’t be disappointed!
