Everyone Needs a Little Sugar
Everyone needs a little sugar around the holidays. It’s funny I’m writing this after I Just got finished teaching a class on sugar, all the different names for sugar and how we should consume less. I guess it’s kinda ironic that I came home and wanted to bake banana bread with some over ripe bananas sitting on the counter. Well…. everything in moderation and at least this banana bread only has one source of sugar. To make it less sweet I suggest using only ¼ or ½ cup sugar at most in the recipe.
4 ripe bananas
1tsp vanilla
1 egg
3 Tbsp melted butter
¼ – ½ cup sugar
1 Tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
1 ½ cups flour
Mash bananas in a bowl. Next add butter, egg, vanilla and sugar. Mix well. Lastly add cinnamon, nutmeg and flour. Again mix well. Place in loaf pan in a preheated 350 degree oven and cook for 45-50 minutes. Enjoy your little sugar.
