Have You Ever Been Glutened?

Never again!! I mean absolutely never again will I experiment to see if how far of a line I have to go with my gluten intolerance. Last night my husband and I had to go out with the kids after work and we got home late, well… too late to make dinner. My son said he wanted Chinese and since it was too late for me to cook we decided to order in. We usually go to one specific place near me where they make gluten free items but my husband heard of this other place he wanted to try. Since we never really know how far reaching my gluten intolerance is I said ok I’ll try it out with the soy sauce and see how it goes. Boy! Was that a bad idea!! I have been up all night with stomach cramps and now running to the bathroom this morning. I don’t want to be graphic but anyone who has a sensitivity to gluten knows what I am going through and that it’s not fun. So today is detox day!! Ginger tea, I will make myself a smoothie with kefir and just try to get myself back on track.

Kefir Smoothie

½ cup kefir

1 cup water

1 tsp ginger

1 cup pineapple

1 tsp turmeric

Blend together. Feel better.
