I must say that I am very disappointed with The Northern Medical Group Gastroenterology Division in Poughkeepsie, NY. I am very disappointed with Dr. Paul Burrows' decision in cancelling my appointment that was already scheduled for me to have a Colonoscopy procedure done on that date.
I was asked on what day I would be available to have the procedure done. I picked a day that would have my employer have someone cover my employment position for a couple of days. One day for preparation and one day for the procedure.
I spoke to my supervisor and set the date up with Northern Medical Group.
I asked Northern Medical Group if they would be so kind and give me a doctor's note for those 2 days as my employer requested this from me.
I called 3 different times within 2 weeks and a half, and all I got was that someone was going to call me back soon each time. I never received a phone call or notification of any, except to cancel the appointment date that was best for me.
They asked me if I would like to reschedule, and of course I said, "Yes"
They asked me if I would be able to do the following week, and I told them that I would not be able. I asked if they had something available for the last week of March 2026, they told me they would not have anything else available until April 20ish.
It is crazy that I had an appointment date set before a lot of people, and now because Dr. Burrows decided to cancel, I now had to wait for a lot of people that was scheduled after me. It makes no sense to me.
I had recently given Dr. Hotchandi, Dr.Burrows and The Northern Medical Group Gastroenterology 5 Stars for their Smiles, Kindness and great sense of humor, but what is a great sense of humor, Kindness and a lot of friendly smiles if their Job and their Professionalism and attending to the needs of their patients is VERY POOR!
No apologized to me either.
I will be going to another appointment with another medical agency very soon.
I have completely finished any relationship and business with Northern Medical Group period. One of the worst medical agencies that I have ever seen.

Great friendly staff. Very clean environment. The staff is very professional, kind, helpful and respectful.
Dr. Hotchandani has a great sense of humor and is very knowledgeable. He explains everything in detail and also listens to your concerns.

It was a great experience. The nurse was incredible. She was so kind and thoughtful. Those are most important to me. The doctor was great also. Kind compassionate definitely listened. Supportive, encouraging.
