Deborah Sherman, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist and internal medicine physician at The Digestive Disease Center of the Hudson Valley. Dr. Sherman has been practicing for over four decades and sees patients at the practice’s offices in Fishkill, Poughkeepsie, and Highland, New York.
Dr. Sherman earned her bachelor’s degree at Barnard College in New York and graduated with her medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla. She then completed residency training in internal medicine at Metropolitan Hospital before working in the gastroenterology division at St. Luke’s Hospital for her clinical fellowship program. Since then, she’s practiced at various health facilities across New York and in New Jersey, providing both in-patient and out-patient care. Her prior hospital affiliations include Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, and Holy Name Hospital and Englewood Hospital in New Jersey.
Alongside her career in medicine, Dr. Sherman has also taught at Albert Einstein Medical College in the Bronx since 2002 as an assistant professor of medicine and serves as the attending gastroenterologist at Albert Einstein Hospital.
